January 27-31, 2025 is the Great Kindness Challenge Week. This week is celebrated to empower students to create a culture of kindness.
We will be celebrating with a spirit week! Below are the dress up days:
1/27: Kindness Ties Us Together- Wear a tie, bow, or tie dye
1/28: Hats Off to Kindness- Wear a hat or a fun hairstyle
1/29: Shine Bright with Kindness- Wear bright or neon colors
1/30: Powered by Kindness- Dress up like a superhero (no masks & school appropriate)
1/31: Show Kindness and PRIDE- Wear school colors or school apparel

RCSS has a few calendar updates to take note of...


The Randolph County School System will operate on a 2 hour delay, tomorrow, 1/14/25.


The RCSS will be closed tomorrow, 1/13/2025.


Due to Teacher Workdays, RCSS will be closed to students on 1/21/25 and 1/22/25.


Early Release information for 1/10/25


The RCSS will be closed 1/20/25 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.


Attention - RCSS will operate on a 3 hour delay tomorrow (1/7/2025).

RCSS School Nutrition Services prepares approximately 6,500 breakfast and 10,000 lunch meals for students each school day. The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback about our breakfast and lunch menus from parents, teachers, and staff. We will use this feedback to update our menus in order to enhance the school meal experience for our students. Parents, please use the Here Comes the Bus app to track your child's bus. Also, be mindful of the 10 minute window before and after your scheduled pick up/drop off times.

Tomorrow, Friday, December 20th will be an early release @ 12:45. Please be sure to make arrangements for pick up, and bus riders, for an early drop off! **ALL K-3 students must have an adult visible at the bus stop!

The early release day on Friday, December 20 will mark the beginning of our Winter break. Students will return to school on January 2.


Exciting Musical Performance!
Mrs. Walker, our music specialist, has the students buzzing with excitement for their upcoming show. These talented performers have worked diligently in preparation and are eager to warm your hearts!
This Old Gingerbread House will be on stage for one night only. Come support our LCES Lions on December 12, 2024 at 6:00 PM. Don't miss this special performance!



We are so proud of our Second Grade Care graduates. It was a wonderful ceremony with a special guest speaker, Sheriff Gregory Seabolt. Thank you for taking the time to come speak with our students.
