October was Fire Safety Month, and the Level Cross Fire Fighters visited Level Cross Elementary to present a special fire safety lesson to students from Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Students gathered eagerly in the school gymnasium, where Firefighters demonstrated important fire safety tips in a fun and interactive way. From learning how to "Stop, Drop, and Roll" to understanding the importance of smoke detectors, the children absorbed valuable lessons that could one day help keep them safe.
They taught the students about what to do if they ever hear a fire alarm or see smoke in their home. The firefighters also showed the kids their gear, which sparked curiosity and admiration.
Teachers and students thanked the firefighters for their visit by providing handmade cards for First Responder’s Day, which fell on October 28th.
