My name is Sherrie Thorpe.  I have taught for twenty two years in Randolph County Schools.  I taught fourth grade for two years, first grade for six years, Reading Recovery for three years and second grade for several years.  I have been back in the first grade classroom for a few years now.  I graduated from UNCG with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  I have attended a lot of extra training in reading.  

     I Believe That Every Child Has The Right To Learn In A Safe And Loving Environment.  I Believe That Every Child Can Learn.  We All Come Into The Classroom At Different Levels.  It Is My Job To Help Each Child Grow And Reach The Best Of Their Potential.
