It was wonderful to see our kindergarten students fully engaged in their writing today! In our co-teaching classroom, students actively shared ideas, collaborated with peers, and demonstrated confidence as they worked through the writing process. Both teachers seamlessly supported all learners, providing individualized guidance while fostering a positive and inclusive environment. The level of enthusiasm, creativity, and focus from our young writers truly highlights the power of strong collaboration and intentional instruction. Keep up the amazing work!
Rising kindergarten -4th grade students please join us for Transition Night. You will get to meet the teachers from the upcoming grade level and learn about the curriculum and how you can prepare. Two sessions will be offered for your convenience. Each student that attends will receive a book of their choice. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, April 30.

On March 27th, Level Cross Elementary welcomed Amber Ward, Randolph County School System’s Public Information Officer, who read to Mrs. Stewart and Mrs. Marley's kindergarten classes as part of the district’s Leadership Reads program. RCSS leaders help inspire young readers and support literacy in the classroom.

On March 20th, Level Cross Elementary welcomed Dr. Stephen Gainey, RCSS Superintendent, who read to Mrs. Sparks’ and Mrs. Peterson’s third grade students as part of the district’s Leadership Reads program. RCSS leaders help inspire young readers and support literacy in the classroom.
Due to the forecast of severe weather for tomorrow, all schools in the RCSS will be closed tomorrow, Monday (3/16/26).

We are so excited to welcome our future Lions to Level Cross tonight for Kindergarten Registration!!
If you have a child who will turn 5 on or before August 31, 2026, please make plans to attend our Kindergarten registration tonight from 5:00-7:00 pm. This is a floating event and will allow families to meet school staff, learn more about our school, and complete necessary paperwork. Please bring your driver’s license or picture ID, a certified copy of your child’s birth certificate, a current immunization record, a current utility bill or lease agreement, and any applicable custody papers.
We look forward to meeting our newest Lions tonight!!
